Fire System Design
AST offers comprehensive system design service with the purchase of our fixed fire extinguishing systems and products. This service includes a consultation with the client to determine the level of protection and detection needed. AST also ensures that the system is designed to insurance specifications and requirements.
The system is designed by qualified fire and mechanical engineers who also provide build layouts, schematic drawings as well as write tender specifications.
Our engineering staff are registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and are certified by the South African Compressed Gas Association (SACGA) as industrial level designers for persons designing fixed fire extinguishing systems.
Gas System Design
All Gas System Designs at AST are completed by a professional engineer or engineering technologist that is registered with ECSA and are certified under the SACGA. The designs are completed following the guidelines and standards stipulated under NFPA2001 or SANS/14520.
Aspirating System Design
The Aspirating System Designs performed at AST are completed by qualified and trained professional engineers and engineering technologists registered with ECSA. The designs conform to guidelines and standards set under EN54-20 and BS5839-1 for class A, B and C detection.
